The country’s rugged beauty and varied landscapes means it’s always a good time to go backpacking in New Zealand! The summer months (December to March) bring long, sunny days perfect for spending outdoors, the winter months (June to September) bring snow to the South Island and parts of the North, and the shoulder seasons bring milder weather and fewer visitors.

You'll be surprised with how affordable tours in NZ can be! From 9 to 17 days, our Intro and Adventure tour options include all transport, stunning accomodation, some meals, an awesome tour guide and an awesome group of new friends to travel with. Simply scroll down for our pricing, and secure a space on our trips from $400/ £200/ €200

From years of experience operating in this beautiful country, we know 9 - 17 days is the most optimal amount of time to spend in NZ. This gives you enough time to see the best of either the South or North Island (9 days) or both Islands across 17 days!

If you’re planning a short visit and are from Australia, the UK, Canada, USA, or any of the countries on this list, you do not need a visa to enter but do require an NZ ETA (New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority) which can be requested online. Most people who do NZ Intro need a Working Holiday Visa. A WHV is usually available to those aged 18 - 30 and valid for 12 or 23 months.

If you are doing an INTRO Travel group tour in NZ, all of your accommodation and transport are included, plus some meals and an awesome tour guide. A traveller staying long-term for work should be arriving with $4000 NZD to support yourself until you begin work.

If you’d like to book any optional activities during your tour, like a skydive, we suggest bringing some extra money to make the most of these experiences.

While a week can be enough time to experience some of the North or South islands, we usually recommend you stay a little longer, so you can properly enjoy all of the incredible things this country has to offer without missing anything. By joining one of our group tours we’ll fit as much into the time you have available as possible, with all the best bucket list inclusions sorted for you!

A group tour that includes a balance of both the North & South Islands is the best way to see NZ! Having all of your accommodation, transport, activities and some meals already organised for you means you can fully enjoy the destination without any added stresses.
