Don’t forget your snorkel and sunscreen as we’ll be heading off via private speedboat around the beautiful Phi Phi Leh to visit hidden lagoons and snorkelling in clear waters. The following day, we’ll hike to one of Phi Phi’s best viewpoints, then chill out on the island’s best beaches. Then we travel to Phuket and check in to our beautiful boutique 4 star hotel. *There is a possibility we may not be able to enter right into Maya Bay at certain times of year due to government closures

PHUKET

Ending the trip on a high, today we’ll be spending the day with Thailand’s most sacred animal - elephants. We’ll get up close and personal with the gentle giants at a sanctuary and learn about how they are rescued and cared for.

HANOI

Goodbye Thailand, hello Vietnam! Landing in Hanoi after an included flight we’ll take you to your boutique hotel. Passing villages oozing with culture, we’ll stay overnight with a local family. To wrap up the day we’ll learn more about local customs and ways of life over a traditional dinner, washing it all down with a little rice wine.

Today is all about enjoying the post-card perfect landscapes as we trek through terraced hills. This afternoon a quick drive takes us back to Sapa, where we will check in to our beautiful mountain-side hotel and kick up our feet for a well-earned rest. HA LONG BAY

From Hanoi we’ll travel to Ha Long Bay to board the luxurious boat that’ll be our home for the night. Famous for emerald waters, limestone islands, magical caves, and thick rainforests, we’ll see this world heritage site up close as we kayak, swim, and laze on the sundeck. In the evening enjoy a sunset from the deck and tuck into a fresh dinner before some drinks. It doesn’t get much better than this!

MEKONG DELTA

Today we head to the lush beauty of the Mekong Delta for a special overnight experience. We’ll get a serious culture fix as we explore a more authentic Vietnam, seeing how locals live and work on the river and checking in to our riverside accommodation for the evening.

HO CHI MINH CITY

At the Cu Chi tunnels, we’ll learn how this hand-dug underground network played a crucial role in the Vietnam War, providing supply routes, hideouts, and living quarters for soldiers. Arriving back into Ho Chi Minh City, we’ll dress sharp for our farewell dinner and party this evening.

Frequently Asked Questions

It’s always a good time to go travelling in Thailand and Vietnam. Most months of the year you will experience sunshine and possibly some rain. It’s usually quite hot and humid, but it can occasionally get cold, especially in the north of Vietnam between November and February, so it’s always best to bring a couple of warm layers with your summer clothing.

This trip features a more premium standard of accommodation of approx. 4 star standard. While also including some slightly more rugged and authentic experiences such as floating bungalows, treehouses in the jungle, local homestays and an overnight train.

Vietnam is a large country, and we experience a lot of it! So expect some longer travel days, with some loud motorbike traffic in the main centres. In Thailand, you will be on a variety of private and public transport including one overnight sleeper train in a multi-share cabin. This is a great way to experience the real Thailand.

Delicious vegetarian cuisine is plentiful in Vietnam and Thailand, however strict gluten free and vegan can be harder as egg and fish sauce are common ingredients. But we will do our best to provide suitable options. A wide variety of Western meals is not common, however the authentic local food is outstanding!

This tour also includes a good amount of walking, a hill tribe trek and cycling day tour, so an average level of fitness is recommended.

The majority of our group members are solo travellers, so joining one of our group tours is a great way to meet people and make friends. Before your trip starts we'll put you in touch with the rest of your group so you can start chatting and get to know each other. And after the trip a lot of people continue travelling with the new friends they've made!
